Tree Studios at Medinah Temple
The Tree Studios built starting in 1894 as artist studios are landmark properties that were threatened with demolition. They have now been restored to National Park Service Standards and are a vibrant mix of shops and offices. A hidden, but important part of the project was the restoration of its landscaped courtyard and the modification of the plain brick walled 'unit' building into an office building with newly cut window openings and a roof terrace. This project was done in conjunction with the Bloomingdale’s at the Medinah Temple.
