Elevated Transit Station

Daniel P. Coffey & Associates, Ltd. was chosen to redesign multiple transit stations during the reconstruction of the century-old elevated transit line. The fast track schedule closed the line for two years to allow for a rapid and less costly capital improvement program. The original 1893 Ashland station is now upgraded with a longer platform, ADA access and modern fare collection systems. The new elements are landmark approved additions to the historic station.
