Over the past 25 years, Daniel P. Coffey & Associates, Ltd., the 2003 AIA Chicago Architecture Firm of the Year, has developed a reputation for high quality, innovative work in a variety of complex and diverse areas of architecture and design. These often include educational buildings with a diverse range of functional requirements based on the academic level of the facility. Our experience includes projects for k-8 to university level institutions, including public and privately operated facilities. The challenge is to understand the educational goals of an institution and design a building that responds to their needs as well as creating an exciting and attractive atmosphere for learning. These projects have included new construction, adaptive re-use and rehabilitation.
